The forest, six years ago:
Several fishes, birds, and different animals gathered in the forest one day. They all thought that the forest was magical and that it made everyone succeed. So the parents of these animals and birds sent them here, with high hopes.
The foxes of the forest ran the magical organization that promised to enlighten everyone. Alas, they were cunning! They only cared about the goodies we brought them.
The foxes laid the ground rules and hired different teachers. As per the rules, the learners had to undergo a series of lectures and tests. The animals that passed in everything are supposed to have qualified some standard and garners special respect outside the forest.
The teachers:
There were birds that taught the turtles to fly, monkeys that taught us fishes to climb trees and also the foxes that taught the snails to hunt.
There were also weird cases like the wild cats which taught the ants to swim.
The cats didn’t know how to swim, so did the ants. In fact both of them despised water. It was difficult all the while. The cats pretended to love water and played “the expert” and the ants pretended to learn.
It was magical and enlightening to watch all this from outside, but inside the forest, it was crazy. Not many survived this ordeal. A turtle got himself killed when he jumped from a tree top to learn to fly. Many fishes got bruised trying to climb that oak tree in the middle of the forest. The poor snails were tortured and scolded for being unable to focus. Some of them were even given the magic mushroom called Ritalina.
Most endured this, some rebelled, some perished. Among the ones to survive, few fishes pursued to become expert tree climbers, but they just ended up forgetting swimming altogether.
It was a crazy world. I walked away. I escaped back to my haven, the seas, with just a few bruises. Wounds were quick to heal, but the scars remained.
The surprising fact is that there are still so many fishes out there working as tree climbers, believing they were monkeys and enduring the pain all their lives. The sad part of the story? They still believe they are stupid. Some even forgot how to swim.
I had just one thing to say these foxes.
If you judge a fish by its ability to climb trees, you’ll end up debilitating it.
Wounds heal, scars don’t.

Hey “Fish”,
This is the most powerful post I have read here. You discussed the matter of our educational systems in a very creative way. Our teachers are not qualified enough to teach and our schools are dying!
Poor students are trying hard to follow.
How can we re new all of this? How can we help everyone to start correctly?
Is it late to do so?
Hmm, lots of questions…
Thank you, keep it up π

Dear Black,
Thank you for your thoughtful comment!
I am happy that you liked the story, and it makes me want to keep writing π
Well, as for your question. As long as foxes run the forest, nothing will change. The other animals should start taking responsibility of their education.
Any one can run their own little groove and invite the different animals to come and learn what they like. Perhaps, Black, you will open your own groove. Many fishes have tried to do so too! Maybe I will too, one day.
Let’s hope for the best. And let’s keep that hope alive and healthy π
