Day 5: Brick walls

Into an unconscious swirl of delusion fell the lonely fish, only to wakeup weeks later, wondering where he might be.

So, here’s day 5 in the fish journal.

The touch of madness is what differentiates the great from the good. If you want to learn to surf waves, don’t complain about water splashing on your face. In life, any one of the following happens to you: either YOU have the reins of your life, or fate holds the reins and dictates your life. If you want to live the life you really want, then be prepared for some goodies you didn’t ask for. Some call it opportunities, some call it pressure or problem, but whatever it maybe, they are there for a reason.

As Randy Pausch puts it…

“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.”

  1. Hi fish, it’s quite amazing how you put a simple situation and make it even even more amazing by explaining it in a perspective that is unique. It made me introspect and contemplate the situation I have been facing for a long time.
    Thank you and good luck

    Quite inspirational.
